Pace Group Appoints Tom Wood as Chief Commercial Officer
Pace Group strengthens its executive team as it enters its next phase of growth
Pace Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Wood as Chief Commercial Officer, effective September 2026. Tom joins the Pace family bringing more than 20 years of senior commercial leadership experience across engineering, construction, infrastructure, facilities management, and outsourced services.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Tom will play a key role in supporting Pace Group’s commercial strategy, business growth, and long-term development. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, business transformation, contract management, commercial operations, and complex project delivery, with a strong track record of creating value and driving sustainable business performance.
Tom joins Pace from G4S, where he served as Commercial Director, leading the commercial function across the company’s facilities management and public services businesses in the UK and Ireland. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at SSE Contracting and NG Bailey, building extensive experience across a range of engineering and service-led organisations.
Throughout his career, Tom has been involved in numerous acquisitions, divestments, and private equity-backed transactions, helping integrate businesses, transform commercial operations, and deliver sustainable growth. His career journey has taken him from his early days as a site-based quantity surveyor to working alongside investors, executive leadership teams, and FTSE-listed plc boards.
